Manhattan Lights by DexterousDamsel Manhattan Lights by DexterousDamsel
I was on the Brooklyn Bridge taking this one. It was
freezing and by the time I was done with the shoot,
my hands were frozen, I barely felt my finger press
the button to shoot the pictures. And I figured out
that I'm in desperate need of a tripod. :( Make-shift
tripods by lamps on the bridge aren't the best way
to take photographs.

Please full view for details.

Hehe I know this. Taking photos at night without a tripod is really hard work.
You did it quite well! The photo is even in full-view sharp and without grain.
i like lights all over the buildings. Very nice!

That sky is maddeningly beautiful. Is that manipulated in any way, or did you just manage a near-perfect capture? :)

Tripods do help out a lot if you bother to carry them. Since you can get started with a lower-end one for $30 or $40, there's no excuse not to. :)

I agree. I love the sky, too. And no. It's not manipulated at all. The only thing I did to this photo was taking the noise out of it and.. cropping. :)

Very nice I like this shot alot :). The colors are great and the fact that the lights don't have any purple fringing is great, what kind of camera do you use? And hey pssst...get a tripod! Look around thrift stores and garage sales, I've seen them there for under 10 bucks!

im from rural Maine, so cityscape are appealing to me. This shot has a lot to offer, The colors are great, the lights on the blue/black sky. The one thing thats distracting is the railing at the very bottom on the left. The fact that its in there, but disappears halfway across the picture is a little distracting, color wise. If it was either there all through, or not there at all it would feel tighter to me. But even with that, this is a marvelous piece.

Oh crap.. Someone noticed the railing. I'll take it out, and I was going to.. but decided to keep it in because I didn't feel it was terribly noticeable. (sp?) Anyway. Thank you for pointing out that someone noticed it. :blushes:

I'm not sure but it does look like it. So... it's either clouds, or smoke.
